Things to Talk about when You First Meet a Woman
Okay, so you are ready to start meeting new women – the first thing you need to do is approach women, using a good opening line. Remember that first impressions do count so you want to present yourself as a gentlemen, someone who is confident but not cocky, a man that has a great sense of humor but not silly, and someone who enjoys listening as much as he does talking. Once you have introduced yourself, small talk will begin. Then, after the formalities such as name and job, where do you go from there. With a woman, remember that most love sharing ideas and opinions. Knowing this gives you a huge advantage over other men in that you know the direction in which to take the initial conversation. For instance, you could ask a woman her opinion about a decision for your job, her ideas on where to take an upcoming vacation, or how to handle a certain situation with a friend. Most often, the women would happily interject her thoughts. What you need to do is listen and do not be afraid to ask additional questions throughout the conversation. From there, you want to find out what you can about her since most women love to talk about themselves. You might question her about the type of work she does and why she got involved with that particular field. You could also talk to her about places where she has visited, which would tie into the conversation on suggestions for your next vacation trip. Women also love talking about children and pets. Therefore, you might determine if the woman has children and if so, how many and their ages. If you have children, be sure to offer information as well, making her feel more comfortable with the discussion. The same is true for conversations about animals, especially women who have no children that view their dog or cat as a child. You could also talk about high school or college, asking her where she graduated. With this information, you would then be able to learn about her degree, funny stories, interesting friends, and so on. As you get involved with these basic conversations, they will expand out into other areas, making the conversation flow smoothly. Now, while there are certain things that make great initial conversations, you definitely want to avoid some topics. For instance, politics is off limit in the early stages of getting to know a woman. Since most people are passionate on their stand, you could soon be involved in a heated argument before even becoming friends. The same would be true about world events. Although these both make great subjects, giving you deep insight into the person, they are better stored away for the future.
