Dating Younger Women
A common trend seen today is older men dating younger women. If you look at Hollywood, you will find a number of couples that fit this scenario to include Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore, Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart, and the list goes one. Following in these footsteps, we now see this happening across the globe. Although not for everyone, many men have no problem in dating a younger woman.
Now, when we say “younger women”, this is usually classified as her being 10 or more years younger than the man. If are interested in dating a younger woman, it is advisable that you consider the challenges. True, some younger women are very mature and can easily handle situations faced by older men but not all can. Therefore, choosing a younger woman will depend largely on the individual.
The most important consideration is that you will need to understand the younger woman. There will be differences in interests. The older man may prefer to play golf, play poker, or travel while the younger woman is still interested in shopping, hanging out with her girlfriends, or spending time at her parent’s for Sunday dinner. These are not bad differences but differences just the same.
For the man wanting to date younger women, it is imperative that he be prepared to accept these and other young acting behaviors. Chances are her intellect is not at the same level. That means instead of discussing world events, politic, or foreign travel at dinner, you might be talking about school, animals, or other less stimulating subjects. This does not mean the younger woman is dumb or uninteresting, just that she has less experience.
Then, there is the consideration that the younger woman is merely looking for a sugar daddy, someone to care for her, pay the bills, and giving her free reign to shop. If you are in a position where you want to offer these things, great but if not, you need to know that for a woman to date an older man, she is looking for some things in return. Granted, some younger women simply appreciate the wisdom of an older man but most want more.
Finally, you need to think about the future with a younger woman. Depending on her age and the difference in age between the two of you, there may be dramatic differences when it comes to family. After all, you may have already raised a family and now wants someone with whom to enjoy. On the other hand, she might not have any children, thus desperately wanting to be a mom. If you can overcome some of these challenges or they do not bother you, then dating a younger woman is a viable option.
